Jana Sanskriti Centre for Theatre of the Oppressed
Jana Sanskriti uses a form of forum theatre called Theatre of the Oppressed to address social issues that emerge from a patriarchal traditions. This grant will support the second phase of a project to create a network of theatre teams in local communities to act together to address issues such as child marriage, trafficking and the drop-out of girls from education.

‘Voicing the Community’- A Study on ‘Denotified and Nomadic Tribes’ of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat
Bhasha Sanshodhan Prakashan Kendra (Bhasha Research and Publication Centre)
The Bhasha Research and Publication Centre was established in 1996 as a voluntary organisation for the study, conservation and promotion of tribal languages, literature, history, culture, arts and crafts. It is also concerned with the socio-economic welfare of tribal communities and the protection of their human rights. This grant will support the organisation to research the statutory status and living conditions of Denotified and Nomadic / Nomadic Tribes in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, with a view to improving living conditions in the long term.

Community Action against Trafficking in North 24 Parganas
Barasat Unnayan Prostuti (BUP)
BUP aims to help people to achieve their potential through their work across education, health, employment and skills, women’s rights and the environment. Funding will support the organisation to work with survivors of human trafficking and social workers to co-develop a programme to raise awareness of the issue in local communities and to signpost relevant resources and services.

Youth Initiatives specialises in long term, relationship based, preventative youth work in areas of high social need in Northern Ireland. Funding will support its transition to a new leadership team and strategic plan. It will focus on collaboration to increase impact for young people, and implement its Hub model in Derry/Londonderry, gathering learning to inform future replication.

Sport 4 Life UK aims to create better futures for young people through sports-themed personal development programmes. Funding will support Sport 4 Life to increase the capacity of its Research and Impact Manager, allowing the organisation to create a new impact strategy, improve its delivery model and diversify income.

Teens and Toddlers – North West Expansion
Power2
Power2 works with young people aged 13–21 across England. Its flagship programme is ‘Teens and Toddlers’, where young people who are struggling in school mentor children in a nursery setting for 18 weeks. Building on its work to date, Power2 aims to play a greater role in preventing school exclusions. It will significantly expand its offer across North West England. Funding would support a significant growth in scale.
