Attain Academy Partnership, on behalf of the Chelmsford Teaching Schools Alliance, will lead this project, working with Essex Music Services and London Music Masters. Teachers will be supported to embed music-based approaches to learning, based on the Kodály method, across the Early Years and Foundation Stage curriculum, extending into Keystage 1 in the second year. The initiative aims to improve school readiness amongst pupils and to foster personal, social, communications, and language development.

Trust for Reaching the Unreached works to improve the health and education of communities in rural areas. Through this grant, the organisation will develop a programme to raise awareness of mental health issues and build capacity to provide community-based support.

Synergy Sansthan is a youth-led organisation, co-founded and staffed by individuals from rural backgrounds, that specialises in developing holistic, experiential learning programmes. This grant will support the development of a youth resource centre offering internships, as well as peer-led workshops on leadership, gender and inclusion and career development.

Suchana Uttor Chandipur Community Society works to address socio-economic disadvantage in rural communities, with a strong focus on education. This project aims to strengthen multilingual learning among Santal and Kora children through mobile libraries and to support their cultural identities in the learning process.

Savera Foundation works to build the capacity of tribal communities in Giridih and to improve livelihoods, health, social equity and agricultural development. Through this grant, the organisation aims to develop a sustainable programme to address water and food security, by renovating water resources and providing agricultural training.

Samavesh was established to develop leadership and governance capacity in local communities, with a view towards creating a more equitable and democratic society. This grant will support the second phase of the expansion of the organisation’s education project to include community involvement in school management and interventions at the pre-school level.

Praxis engages in participatory research, capacity-building and advocacy to ensure that people experiencing disadvantage have a say in development. This project aims to develop a structured course to build the professional capacity of individuals and eight community organisations in Bihar and to empower them to take charge of local development agendas.

This grant will support the Green Hub fellowship programme to engage young people and their communities in filmmaking to promote the conservation of biodiversity in North East India and to drive social change. Funding will allow them to develop the programmes’ alumni network and to use the content they’ve gathered to produce educational resources. The Green Hub fellowship is led by the North East Network.

This organisation works to support people experiencing disadvantage to participate in the decisions that impact their lives and the development of their communities. The project aims to address the developmental needs of children with visual, hearing and multi-sensory impairments, by offering training to parents and carers to support language and motor development and by supplying assistive devices.

Lokmitra’s mission is to ensure that every child experiencing disadvantage completes elementary education, to become a life-long learner and an empowered member of society. Through this grant, the organisation will develop community-led initiatives to support pre-school and primary education in Banda.

Kolkata Sanved delivers dance movement therapy (DMT) programmes to empower survivors of trafficking and trauma to develop confidence and to support their recovery, self-expression and rehabilitation. This grant will allow the organisation to expand their work and to pilot a DMT programme to support the mental health and wellbeing of men and boys.

Kadam Jan Vikas Sanstha works to support and empower people experiencing social and economic disadvantage to develop sustainable livelihoods. It also focuses on gender and women’s rights, child rights and education, public health and local self-governance. This programme seeks to address the increase in cases of suicide for people ages 10 to 39 years in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh through awareness raising and counselling, and by directing people to relevant services.
