Gramya Vikas Trust (GVT) works to sustainably improve livelihood opportunities for communities experiencing marginalisation. This grant will support the organisation to help emerging women’s federations evolve as sustainable, self-reliant organisations and document the processes through film.

Grameen Swavlamban Samiti is a community-based organisation that works to ensure the socio-economic empowerment of groups experiencing disadvantage in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. This project aims to encourage children from Dalit families who migrate from Bundelkhand to continue schooling, and to improve living conditions for communities.

Community Development Centre aims to address issues related to livelihoods, child welfare and land rights, focusing on communities located on the periphery of Kanha National Park. This grant will support the third phase of a project to strengthen horticultural practices and to introduce farm forestry to promote sustainable livelihoods for local community members.

Chale Chalo supports members of rural communities to build sustainable livelihoods and leadership capacity and to access rights and entitlements. This project aims to empower women and to enhance their capacity to lead development planning and governance in their communities.

Bal Sakha Assam aims to promote health, education and wellbeing of people living in rural communities and tea gardens in Assam. The project will involve different stakeholders – including the tea garden management – in dialogue processes to develop strategies to ensure the rights and dignity of children and other vulnerable populations living within the estates.

This grant will support the Voices programme at Purulia Mental Hospital, which aims to improve living conditions and build the skills and capacity of people experiencing mental health problems. This project phase will focus on community outreach and strengthening relationships with hospital authorities and local governance.

Abhar Mahila Samiti works to promote sustainable livelihoods in rural communities experiencing disadvantage in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. This project aims to empower young women living within these communities.

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that works to hold power to account. This grant will support the organisation to work with a network of local journalists and civil society to report stories that spark positive action and change.

With One Voice is a movement that aims to strengthen the arts and homelessness sector through exchanges in practice and policy. This grant will support the organisation to further advocacy and learning within the homeless and cultural sectors.

Organise aims to give people the tools, network and confidence to make change happen in their working lives. This grant will fund Organise to improve an app that documents evidence of discrimination, harassment and wrongdoing in the workplace, and will support organisational sustainability.

This grant provides support for a placed-based funders’ consortium with Lloyds Bank Foundation, Tudor Trust, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, City Bridge Trust and Lankelly Chase Foundation.

Voices in Exile works with refugees, asylum seekers and people who have migrated to the UK who have no recourse to public funds in East and West Sussex and Surrey. This grant will help build organisational capacity and strengthen the provision of free, accredited immigration legal advice and casework across the South East.
