    Manchester Art Gallery provides free access to exhibitions of their collections, education and community engagement programmes. In 2021 the gallery plans to relaunch the former gallery of costume, Platt Hall, as a community-generated museum. This grant will support the gallery to deepen understanding of local needs, test events co-created with community partners and inform the programme for Platt Hall.

This grant will support the company to explore whether an inclusive dance group can support girls and women experiencing disadvantage to improve self-expression, wellbeing and social cohesion, in collaboration with women’s support centres across Belfast.

    Hounslow Action for Youth Association provides a range of specialist one-to-one and group work support services to young people at risk of crime and anti-social behaviour, improving their engagement with education, families and community for better mental and physical health, and positive futures. This grant will support the organisation to develop creative writing workshops to support young women at risk of gang involvement and sexual exploitation in Hounslow.

Through this grant the company will explore and develop a new supportive, integrated practice which aims to remove barriers to professional development for their members. Activities will include supporting artistic development, developing life skills, and mental health support.
